Introduction to Power Yoga Workshop
Are you hesitant about taking your first power flow class or are you interested in learning more about it?
During this workshop, Heather hopes to take away the fear of this athletic yet grounding practice. This class for anyone that is curious about what power yoga is.
Power yoga is a Baptiste inspired sequence - "power" is not the intensity of the class. In this workshop, we will learn the proper form for each pose and the sequence of the practice. This is a beginners workshop but also open to seasoned Yogi's wanting to practice and refine form.

Introduction to Aerial Yoga Workshop

How to Safely Incorporate Yin Yoga Shapes to Vinyasa Classes with Jen Ciarimboli

In this six-hour immersion learn how to safely use and blend Yin Yoga shapes with our Vinyasa Flow classes, in order to complement the intention of the class. We'll spend ample time looking at how connective tissue is targeted in Yin Yoga, how it responds to passive holds in the practice and how to safely move beyond a passive hold.
We'll also cover some of the more controversial topics in Yin Yoga including:
Is Yin Yoga safe? Should we ever "stress" a joint? What is creep and why should we care? Yin Yoga for special populations

This clinic is being offered to our DeepFeet Bar Therapy Barefoot Basics graduates.
Amber Osborn and I (Kate Freese) will provide you with a guest client and guide you through all of the anterior and posterior strokes. This will give you an opportunity to get some great feedback, build more confidence and tweak anything you may have been having trouble with.

Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Jennifer Ciarimboli
Yin Teacher Training Fundamentals

In this 50-hour training, including 45 contact hours, we will explore the foundational theories, benefits and teaching methodology of Yin Yoga. We discuss the deep ancient roots of the practice and how the Taoist & Buddhist philosophies have shaped and influenced the intentions and teachings. Together, through practice, lecture, dyad and small group work, we’ll explore the non-striving, passive nature of yin yoga and the importance of intentionality. Significant time will be spent on understanding the foundation of the meridian system of Chinese medicine as it relates to yin yoga and how Qi is affected through the practice. We will take time to delve deeply into the yin yoga shapes, sequencing, and to how to incorporate yin yoga and philosophy into any practice for any student population. A great emphasis will be placed on daily practice, self inquiry and developing a mindfulness practice in your role as a yin yoga teacher.
This training is suitable for teachers with a minimum of 200 hrs of prior yoga teacher training with a desire to teach yin yoga.
THIS TRAINING INCLUDES
• Yin Yoga philosophy
Anatomy and the understanding of our own natural pattern
Yin Yoga & the energy body, basic understanding of the meridian system, organ pairs & Qi
• Understanding Yin Yoga Shapes, including variations, modifications, use of props and sequencing
What it means to hold a safe, sacred space for a Yin practice
